The past three months and what's ahead

 Date Posted: Sun, 3 Aug 2025

We’re happily singing our way through the year and rehearsing strongly for our main concert in Buderim on 12 October.

In the past three months, we entertained residents at Sundale Aged Care, Palmwoods, and undertook two recruitment initiatives. We’re keen to recruit new members and recently performed a bracket of favourites at the Buderim Men’s Shed monthly meeting and held an open rehearsal at Buderim Gardens Village.

Upcoming activities include:
  • entertainment for Arcare Aged Care, Peregian Springs on 14 August;
  • performance at the ShedMusic Festival at Coolum on 6 September;
  • performance with the Buderim Gardens Village Choir and Sunshine Coast Show Choir at Buderim Gardens Village on 21 September; and
  • Buderim Male Choir’s main concert for 2025 at Buderim War Memorial Hall on 12 October, also featuring Buderim Mens' Shed band Flashback.

New-look website

 Date Posted: Wed, 12 Mar 2025
The choir went live with its new-look website on Monday 10 March. It's a work-in-progress and just one of several actions underway to help ensure the choir serves the Sunshine Coast community effectively.

Rehearsals are going strongly and new members are settling in well. Recruitment is a continuous process for us so if you're thinking of joining a choir, any time is a good time - but right now is best.

Committee for 2025

 Date Posted: Wed, 11 Dec 2024
Choir members are delighted to welcome Sunshine Coast Council Mayor, Rosanna Natoli, as the choir’s patron. We look forward to a close association with Mayor Natoli and to seeing her in the audience at our next concert.

We are planning on a big year in 2025, with a wide variety of songs and are looking to increase choir numbers to enable the choir to be more flexible.

The choir has elected a new committee for 2025 consisting of President – Barry Leigh, Vice-President - Steve Abrahamson, Secretary - Greg L’Estrange, Treasurer - John Johnson and committee members - Neville Cuthbert, Allan Herring and Noel Williams. The picture shows the new committee members with conductor, Stuart Hill.
